Jon M. Otsuki is the CEO of GV Labs, a business innovation company that leverages Internet-based technologies and business acumen to make companies and organizations better.
Jon Otsuki possesses over 25 years of Information Technology and business experience on both a national and international basis with special emphasis on the ability to understand business market needs and requirements and strategically leverage Information Technology with the business direction. Jon has worked with Fortune 100 and 500 companies’ worldwide in capacities ranging from new business creation to business development to organizational transformation. Jon leverages strong expertise in enhancing and/or creating management practices and behavior at all levels within organizations.
Jon has leveraged his expertise in management consulting to successfully help Fortune 200 and 500 companies more effectively lead and manage successful results of the IT organizations with an emphasis on business value delivered to the overall business. Jon’s strong background in understanding business process workflow has helped companies better understand the partnership between technology and business that is required in order to be an agile and competitive business. For example, Jon served as the interim CEO for a $400M company that was losing more than $1M a month. In a turnaround situation, within six months the company was net positive on a cash flow basis and has posted positive monthly results since.
In the area of new business creation, Jon successfully built a worldwide technology consulting business while at Texas Instruments Software as well as, developed the system integration consulting business for a NEC company on an U.S. wide basis. This included directing the development of the business infrastructure, business processes, sales and marketing approaches, and revenue projections. While at United Airlines, Jon, in his role of leading and directing product engineering, development, and customer service, successfully brought to market a technology based software product. Also during his tenure at United, Jon developed the marketplace for the selling of network services as a product offering.
