Mike Gionfriddo is an accomplished technology executive who has delivered innovative and successful products by combining deep technical expertise with an innately strong business sense. As CTO and Acting President at Evergreen Energy, Mike is leading the technology and operations of GreenCert. GreenCert offers enterprises a unique solution that provides accurate determination and documentation of carbon dioxide rates. Mike has been CTO for Enhanced Communication Delivery Systems and EdeNet Communication, and served as divisional CTO for Juniper Networks and Sun Microsystems. While in these roles he gained technology expertise that ranges from cloud computing to mobile platforms. For his work with the Sun Connection Network, which generated $400M in deferred revenue annually, his was awarded the Distinguished Engineer title.. Mike was a pioneer in the open source movement while at Lutris Technologies and helped create the Java platform at Sun Microsystems. In his latest venture he has founded Freestone Productions, who's mission is to create mobile applications to connect outdoor enthusiasts with the information when and where they need it, An accomplished speaker and author, Mike has been published over 30 Mike has BS in Mathematics with Computer Science from Carnegie-Mellon University.
