Pat Kennedy - Chairman and CEO - Cellport Systems

Pat Kennedy is the Chairman and CEO of Boulder-based Cellport Systems. 
 
Pat is credited with contributing to nine of Cellport patents and leads the company's licensing and technology partnering programs. Cellport is the world?s leading licensor of telematics technologies; licensees include Motorola, Continental-Tivis, Harman International, Peiker and Cullmann.
 
In July of 2006, Pat completed a book manuscript titled IdeaJacked, which is a memoir of building his pioneering technology and IP licensing company. The book's epilogue is on the importance of the patent system its historical impact on the inventive DNA of America, and threats U.S. inventors are facing on a number of fronts. IdeaJacked is slated to be on the best seller lists once it's released in mid-2007. 

Kennedy has a B.A. in International Economics from the University of Buffalo and has worked in the wireless and networking fields for the past 25 years. He serves on the Dean?s Advisory Counsel at the University of Buffalo and is a member of the Licensing Executive Society of America.
