
Margaret Cozzens - President and Chief Executive Officer of the Colorado Institute of Technology
Dr. Margaret Cozzens is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Colorado Institute of Technology.
The Colorado Institute of Technology (CIT) was initiated by Governor Bill Owens, put into statute by the Colorado legislature, and is fully funded by industry money. CIT¹s major goal is to bring higher education institutions and business and industry together to facilitate economic development and stability in Colorado by creating an environment for innovation and a workforce with 21st century skills. CIT is a convener, coordinator, catalyst, and, most importantly, change agent.
Prior to coming to the University of Colorado at Denver, she was a Division Director at the National Science Foundation for seven years, and before that Chairperson of the Mathematics Department at Northeastern University.
