Frank Eriksen - Voice and talent behind Pod City Radio
Frank Eriksen, who DJ'd at Boulder's KBCO for about three years, is the voice and talent behind Pod City Radio. "I moved to Boulder in December of 1989, got hooked up with KBCO early in 1990," says Eriksen, who podcasts out of his Gunbarrel home. "When I moved here I was trying to get a voiceover business going."
Last month, Eriksen - who quit KBCO after scaring up enough voiceover work - started his own podcast, "Pod City Radio" (podcityradio.us), hoping to use his experience in "real" radio to his advantage without relying on it too much. Eriksen's show, still in its infancy, seems to present his take on the news in Boulder without being partisan, as well as promoting little-known Boulder-based music. "I try not to make mine too overly produced," Eriksen says. "I don't want it to sound like a radio station."
