Mike Burke - Co-founded NanoThread Inc
Mike Burke spent over 25 years in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries in a variety of positions starting at the chemistry bench at Burroughs Wellcome in North Carolina, then moving to project management, marketing, strategic planning and licensing and acquisitions. He returned to Colorado in 1994 as President of immunology startup Supragen. After selling Supragen to NeXstar he served as VP, Business Development at NeXstar and then VP Corporate Development at the Seattle gene therapy company Targeted Genetics. Since 2001 he has been consulting with small companies in initial startup, development of strategic and business plans, marketing, fund raising and general management. In February 2005, he co-founded NanoThread Inc., a nanotech startup based in Golden. He has a BS in chemistry from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and MS in chemistry from the University of Colorado.
