Jay Barr - CEO of JHB International

Jay Barr is the CEO of JHB International, a Colorado company that is the largest independent distributor of home sewing buttons. The business was started in the late 1960s by Mrs Jean H Barr, Jay’s mother. Although she is now in her late 80’s Jean Barr is still actively involved in the business. Jay originally pursued a different career and stepped into JHB when it became clear that the time had come for a new generation of leadership.
 
During the last several years, Jay has been able to continue to evolve and grow the business and the company’s prospects look excellent. JHB has recently won several additional major customers and is successfully branching into related fields. Even though the company is almost 40 years old, JHB has embarked on a major push to take full advantage of their market opportunities by improving their internal systems and organization.
