DaVinci Institute is pleased to announce a “call for artists” for the 2012 Inventor Art Competition — Expressions In Innovation.
The theme of this competition is inventors with their great inventions or innovations. Inventors could be contemporary or from any time in the past. They just had to show the mark of being a great inventor.
A series of finalists will be chosen from the all-digital submissions and exhibited at the DaVinci Institute’s Vault.
One artist will receive the Best of Show Award. The winning work of art will become the official focal image for the 2012 DaVinci Inventor Showcase which takes place on October 13, 2012 and will be used on brochures, banners, handouts, media and clothing. This artist will also receive a 1 year Super Membership to the DaVinci Institute and 6′ booth space at the DaVinci Inventor Showcase to display their award winning art.
Other prizes will be awarded to the top three contestants as well as 3 honorable mentions.

Prizes
Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 entries with honorable mentions for 3 others.
Best of Show prize will be $1000 worth of cash and prizes, including a one year super membership to the Davinci Institute; 6′ booth space and 2 VIP passes for the DaVinci Inventor Showcase, a social media marketing package plus other amazing prizes yet to be revealed.
Second prize will be $400 in cash and prizes including a one year membership to the Davinci Institute, 2 VIP passes for the DaVinci Inventor Showcase, and a social media marketing package.
Third prize will be $150 in prizes including a 3 month membership to The DaVinci Institute.
3 honorable mentions will win $100 in prizes including a 1 month membership to The DaVinci Institute and 8 single day passes to The Vault.

DaVinci Institute Inventor Art Competition Rules and Guidelines
Eligibility
Open to artists ages 18 and older. Each artist may submit up to three works created within the last three years. All types of still digital artwork will be considered. Sorry, but videos and animations will not be accepted.
All works must be original and produced by the submitting artist.
How to Enter
Application Procedure:
- Submit the Artist Application available below.
- Include an Artist Statement (max 150 words) describing your reason for choosing the inventor subject.
- Include an Artist Bio (max 250 words) describing your artistic journey to date.
- Submissions must be JPEG or JPG format with a maximum size of 8MB per entry. Either square or rectangle shape with a minimum size of 2,000 pixels in width.
- Submit a maximum of three (3) art works to be considered properly labeled with Name and Method of Creation (eg – Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc).
