MEMBERS-ONLY EVENT
Traditional print media is struggling. People involved in the book, magazine, and newspaper industries are now constantly second guessing their decisions as digital media continues to nip away at their income streams.
At issue is an evolutionary shift in how people are consuming information.
Stepping 10 years into the future, will people be reading print newspapers? Will glossy magazine covers line the shelves of airport shops? Will bookstores such as Barnes & Noble and Borders dominate the retail book market? What role will libraries play a decade from now?
Cisco is predicting that 90% of all content on the Internet four years from now will be video content. How will this rapid shift to video affect print media?
This is an industry that built the foundation for today’s information society, the same foundation that digital upstarts are attempting to destroy.
Join us as Futurist Thomas Frey begins to shed new light on this topic and step us through the future of print media.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Starting in March, the “Night with a Futurist” will become a Members-Only event. These events will feature an opening keynote by Thomas Frey, Senior Futurist at the DaVinci Institute. Each month will be framed around a new topic, and the opening keynote will be followed by a panel discussion where industry experts will go head-to-head with Tom, debating the materials presented.
Each month he will be breaking new ground. Tom's presentation style is both bold and refreshing. But most importantly, he loves to involve you, the audience, in the discussion.
All of these events will take place at The Vault, a small 60-seat venue, perfect for intimate discussions and networking. For this reason, seating is limited. If you are not a member, it’s easy to join. More on memberships here.
