David Gold and his team at Access Venture Partners are focused on helping entrepreneurs build great companies. They supply capital, but more importantly, they actively participate in building the management and distribution infrastructure required to aggressively grow the new business.
So far, they have invested in over fifty early stage companies. Through this experience they continue to learn about the challenges associated with building successful companies.
As far as VC firms go, Access Venture Partners is unusual, investing in startup ventures with amounts as small as $250,000. Their core focus is making sure the right management team is in place. Once in place, they are not afraid to roll up their sleeves and help the team define the market, position the company around their core competitive advantages, build distribution partnerships, and raise additional capital.
Just as in sales, one of the first rules of raising money is understanding how to qualify and evaluate your investor prospects. Join us as we learn the questions you should be asking the VCs that you are pursuing for funding.
