DaVinci Institute opens The Vault
The DaVinci Institute has opened a co-working facility at 511 E. South Boulder Road in Louisville, the former home of Valley Bank & Trust.
Co-working is a trend in creating social working environments for people who may normally work from home, or who may need more inspiration from their working environment.
“Co-working has been around in various forms for centuries, but has only recently been reinvented for today’s world,” says Deb Frey, vice president of the DaVinci Institute and President of the new co-working facility dubbed The Vault.
“Most independent workers know the drill. Until now your options have been to either work from home, and hold one-way diatribes with your dog, or rent a desk in some “workplace loft” where you sit in isolation, staring mindlessly at your office plants who seem to be having more fun that you. Sometimes you wander over to a local coffee shop and fight for power outlets as you drown your miseries in some brain-whacking caffeine drink.”
Other co-working facilities exist in Colorado such as Cohere in Fort Collins and The Hive in Denver.
The Vault will feature both permanent spaces and “nomad spaces” where members pick an available space, set up their laptop and begin work. There will also be a small number of office suites where people will have a key to their own office.
In addition to the work spaces, The Vault will offer free Wi-Fi, a coffee bar, conference room and a fully equipped classroom where a full range of small business-related classes are being planned.
Members will be given 24/7 access to the space and the front desk will be manned on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Membership prices will range from $250 per month for the Nomad level to $600 per month for the largest office suite.
