The New Opportunity

Tens of thousands of potential startup businesses put their plans on hold over the last two years. Not because of bad concepts or technologies, but because the usual investors in those businesses stopped investing.

As economics improve, new opportunities abound for investment in businesses that have matured quietly for two years. They bring both better technologies and much more realistic business models.

It's time to consider angel investments. Significant money can be made if you know how to work the system.

Why Should You Attend

DaVinci Institute's Angel Boot Camp
helps turn people with money into competent investors.

This intense introductory program helps you understand both the potential and the processes of investing in startup businesses.

  • Discovery - How to find the right opportunities for you
  • Evaluation - How to test each opportunity for potential
  • Valuation - How to put numbers on potentials
  • Deal Making - How to negotiate and structure your deal
  • Investment Management - How to maximize your returns
  • Meet the Companies - Practice evaluation on a real opportunity (See entrepreneur companies here)

"This is one of the best times ever to invest in startups. Entrepreneurs now take investments at low valuation. Executives now have been battle tested. The stock market will, eventually, welcome new issues of startup stocks. In sum: These are the perfect conditions for venture capitalists looking to create great new companies." --- Stewart Alsop, The Rules of Venture Capital, Fortune, April 15, 2002

Understanding The Risk

Investing in startup businesses is risky. There are no sure things. Appropriate risk levels will vary with investors. Within a portfolio, the degree of risk should be commensurate with the upside potential. As a general rule, never invest any money that you can't afford to lose.
