Wildly Innovative Colorado Inventors Show Off Their Creations at Colorado Inventor Showcase
Provides Opportunity for Attendees to Network, Meet Local, National Luminaries
Louisville, Colorado – October 12, 2009– Attendees at the 5th Annual Colorado Inventor Showcase will experience first-hand the wide-ranging innovation and creative passion Colorado inventors bring to the world. It is also an opportunity to network with high profile luminaries in business, venture capital, media and education. The DaVinci Institute, along with ColoradoBiz Magazine and Townsend & Townsend & Crew host the Showcase, taking place on November 3, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Cable Center in Denver. “The Colorado Inventor Showcase celebrates innovators and displays their achievements born of highly creative imaginations and perseverance,” said Thomas Frey, Executive Director of the DaVinci Institute. “The exhibits will highlight unique products from both independent inventors and established businesses. Over 60 celebrity judges will evaluate the entries and award prizes in several categories including software, commercial and consumer products as well as Colorado Inventor of the Year. There is something for everyone at this event.”
Some of the Colorado Inventor Showcase entries for 2009 include:
- The Reciprotating Internal Combustion Engine from Hoyt Engine Alternative cleanly and economically produces hydraulic fluid power that can be stored or utilized to perform any traditionally engine-driven work, including powering heavy earthmoving equipment and the full range of road-going vehicles. This potentially disruptive technology enhances emerging Hydraulic Hybrid system designs, affording staggeringly high performance potential yet, yields fuel efficiencies equivalent to about 100 MPG in a full-sized passenger car or utility vehicle.
- The ZIP-ZAC Pocket Towel features a patented innovative zippered pocket lined with water resistant nylon to safely store keys, cell phone, MP3 player, ID card, lip balm and other personal items. It can be used at the gym, basketball court pool, hot tub, track, weight room, yoga class, spin class, treadmill, tennis court, etc. for both security and mobility.
